The real test of systems comes when you have responsibilities shift in your business. I have a great team but occasionally people move on. Last week I lost a key person one day and onboarded someone the next day. That got me thinking about how we decide what responsibilities to give to new people and when we decide they’re ready for them.
Unsurprisingly, my advice on this comes down to systems. This episode I talk about how I work to set up new team members for success, how to choose work I give them initially and what I look for to see if they’re ready for more. These things have become built into my systems so I can grow my systems as I grow my team.
